ABOUT US
The South Florida Hunger Coalition was formerly known as the Million Meals Committee, and was founded by The Coordinating Council of Broward County in 2001. This ambitious countywide effort was driven at the time by a strategic plan designed to fill and maintain the food pantries throughout Broward county. By 2004, the Children's Services Council of Broward County began to fund committee staff and activities.

Today, the South Florida Hunger Coalition is an independent, 501c3 regional nonprofit, coordinating the efforts of more than 75 agencies across South Florida, including Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, Monroe, Collier, Lee, Hendry, Martin and St. Lucie counties, and is supported by dozens of community partners.
